About Me
I attended Chaminade University in 2004, located on the beautiful island of Honolulu, Hawaii. I received my bachelors in Psychology and minored in Women’s studies. I also attended their graduate program for Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. During my time there I worked for Hale Kipa, as a Residential Counselor and also Sexual Exploitation Prevention Program Advocate. During that time, I advocated for youth, was part of the first residential home for trans youth. I was also part of the very first graffiti mural projects in schools during my time as a middle school counselor for youth.
In 2010, I moved to NYC to pursue my career as an LMFT and gain more experience as a family and couples therapist. I worked for SCO, and shortly after went into private practice and immersed myself in the New York Center of Emotionally focused Therapy.
I volunteered with The New York Center of Emotionally Focused Therapy in 2013, and in 2019 I was offered a position with the Board as the Treasurer. As of 2023, I am currently the President for The New York Center of Emotionally Focused Therapy.
